Upcoming Events – The Vintage Bazaar

Hello!  Happy Friday!  How is everyone’s 2012 so far?

I know you’ve all been waiting in anticipation for the next Vintage Bazaar!  There are actually two events right around the corner.

I will be teaming up with Yellow Birdd Vintage as usual at The DANK Haus in Lincoln Square for a super fun 2-day shopping event.

Join us on Saturday, February 11th from 12p-6p and Sunday, February 12th from 11a-5p.  The DANK Haus is located at 4740 N Western Ave.

I will have a great selection of modified vintage dresses, along with some good old vintage in it’s original form.

And if you are looking to shop a smaller vintage wedding related event, check out Gettin’ Hitched this weekend at The Empty Bottle.

My Talented Friends. Series #1

Happy 2012 everyone!  Hope the holidays brought you everything you wished for and more!

I am kicking off 2012 in celebration of a selection of wonderful people in my life that inspire me.  I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by a multitude of creative individuals that aren’t afraid to follow their dreams!  I am constantly inspired, impressed and illuminated by the ranging talents of my brilliant friends.

Series #1 starts with Sewing Pattern, also known as Angie Ma.  Angie is not only the most talented musician I know, but she is also a kick ass web designer and makes desserts (particularly pies) that will make you wish you had the appetite of an elephant.

Angie has written two of her own albums in the last few years (‘The Bicycle Songcycle‘ and ‘Sewing Pattern‘) and has also performed with various other bands including Health&Beauty, Canasta and currently Murdertron.  Come see her and her band, Sewing Pattern perform live this coming Monday, January 16th at Hungry Brain in Chicago!

I hope this series reminds you of all the amazing people that inspire you!  I have some exciting happenings coming up in 2012 that I look forward to updating you with.  Stay tuned!
